In June 2026, I had the wonderful opportunity to be invited to participate in the Solo International Art Camp, held in Solo, Indonesia, from 16 to 24 June 2026.
This was a meaningful experience in my journey as an international artist. Artists from different countries came together to create, exchange ideas, experience local culture and build connections through art.
During the art camp, I had the opportunity to work alongside artists from different cultural backgrounds. Creating art in a new environment was inspiring and challenging at the same time.

It allowed me to step outside my usual surroundings, explore new perspectives, and share my own artistic ideas with other artists.
For me, an international art camp is not only about producing artworks. It is also about cultural exchange, collaboration, learning and representing myself as an artist internationally.

Throughout the programme, I spent long hours working on my paintings while also taking part in activities, meeting fellow artists and experiencing the culture and atmosphere of Solo.
Being invited to an international art programme was especially meaningful to me because art has always been an important part of my life. Over the years, I have continued to participate in exhibitions, art events, workshops and international artistic activities while developing my practice in Singapore.
This experience in Solo became another valuable chapter in my artistic journey—connecting me with artists from different countries and giving me memories, friendships, inspiration and new perspectives that I will carry into my future work.
