One of the most magical parts of my trip was doing a watercolor travel sketch at the Fine Arts Museum in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). With the museum’s stunning architecture and the tranquil garden surroundings, it was an artist’s dream.
I decided to capture the beauty of the museum through a quick watercolor sketch, letting the vibrant colors flow and blend naturally. Watercolor is always my go-to medium when I want to convey the lightness and movement of a place, and this sketching session was no different. The soft washes of color combined with the detailed structure of the museum created a piece that I felt truly connected with.
As I painted, I loved the freedom that travel sketching gives me. There’s something so spontaneous and fun about capturing the essence of a place in just a few brushstrokes and splashes of color.
The peaceful atmosphere of the museum gardens made the whole experience even more special. I was able to sit back, relax, and let my creativity flow, blending the beauty of the museum with the calmness of the surroundings.
