So grateful to be part of this meaningful community art project for SG60 and especially proud that this is my very first wall mural in Singapore with my name and signed on the wall.
What touched me most was seeing how the community truly appreciated the art. People smiled, thanked us, complimented the work, brought food and even came back with their families to show the artwork to their kids.
A few students even came up to chat with us, they said they want to be artists too.That really made my heart full. Moments like these remind me how powerful and inspiring public art can be.
Working with Casey Chen was such a joy. His positive energy, kindness and the way he treats fellow artists with care made this whole journey even more special. The project ended beautifully but the experience, the memories and connections will stay with me forever.
It was a special moment to paste the “Colours of Harmony” commemorative plaque onto the mural together with Mr Vikram Nair, Adviser to Sembawang GRC GROs (Admiralty) and artist/curator Casey Chen.
Honoured to be invited to attend the Singapore National Day Dinner as an artist.
Such a memorable night to celebrate unity, community and the spirit of the nation. Grateful to be part of this special occasion.
